Our March neighborhood potluck will be Monday, March 14 at 6:30 pm at the ONK Park on Oklahoma. Please join us! All neighbors are welcome to attend! The park is located at 412 East Oklahoma. In addition to our usual potluck, we will hold the election for neighborhood officers and celebrate the dedication of Andie Ray’s commemorative brick in the circle at the park. In the event of rain or foul weather, we’ll meet at The Hive on North Central instead (located at 854 N. Central St).
Our monthly potluck meetings are held on the second Monday of each month, except we don’t meet in December. Each meeting includes a potluck beginning at 6:30 pm, followed by a neighborhood Board of Directors meeting at 7:00 pm, which is open to all neighborhood residents. At the meeting ONK neighbors plan social events, discuss projects that improve our neighborhood, schedule neighborhood clean-up activities, address zoning or local political issues pertaining to our community, and hear a Knoxville Police Department crime report.
If you are new to the neighborhood, please come to a potluck and start getting better connected with your neighbors. Just bring along a main dish, a side, or a dessert to share and get in the know regarding everything happening in our great neighborhood. And if you are already a regular potluck attender, why not invite someone else from your street who might not be aware of all of the events and opportunities going on in ONK?
